Однажды для развлечения читателей DC решили издать небольшой скетчбук якобы авторства Брюса Уэйна, в котором тот рисовал возможные костюмы Бэтмена. Для большего реализма на каждой странице сделаны пометки и пояснения к тому или иному костюму. Многие из этих набросков использовались в историях из Elsewolrds.

Darken lighter areas - preferably wffh deep gray. Dark blue’ . . Shoulders good for bat-wing effect bur much too high -same potential for vision 6 snag problems. Overall look too "fancy"? Too much like fashion design? Cot to try more baste look, a design that does not look like a
