His quality of life deminished and he was unable to carefully swim around or get food because of his overgrown Wen aka Crown, which completely blocked his vision and things were quickly taking a turn for the worse, so I saved the little guy. (Expert Level) Before attempting PLEASE consider seeing an exotic vet to have this procedure done, but if that is not an option you may use this video as a guide along with lots of research which is recommended. Anesthesia varies by size and health of the fish. Also if your Oranda suffers from Wen growth issues, do continue to feed high quality foods but avoid any with growth stimulants.
