That we are destined for a golden future and that tomorrow will be better than yesterday. Alas, unfortunately that’s not the way it is. It’s important to remind ourselves that humans are simply another type of animal. As we know 99% of all living things are now extinct. Some couldn’t compete with other types of life, some couldn’t adapt to a changing environment, some were wiped out by a cataclysmic event, and others were so successful that they bred so much that they are all the available food and died out from famine. Without doubt we are a more advanced creature then those around us, however that doesn’t mean we are immune to all the misfortunes that may befall a lifeform. To the contrary, many of our achievements, in the wrong hands, can greatly expand the myriad of methods of our demise.
