Посмотри "Огни рампы". Один из последних фильмов, где он снимался, уже звуковой, уже без усов. И не в роли Бродяги. Фильм чудный, а Чаплин совсем не такой, каким мы его привыкли видеть по ранним фильмам.

Подумал что кто-то по ошибке вставил фрагмент с Девидом Аттенборо
нужно больше гифок с чаплиным!
Из-за грима старения вообще не было видно до момента, пока не вставили фрагменты без него.
При чем тут грим, это все усы! Пока они были с ним, то поддерживали его тело в молодости и крепкости, как только усы покинули тело носителя, то его постигло стремительное старение. Бедный Чарли даже попробывал налепить фейковые в 47ом, но от них никакого эффекта не было.
Усы работали только пока был жив Гитлер, на нём всё держалось.
1921 - сколько же раз я пытался зажечь спичку вот так об подошву...
Старые спички с белым фосфором, зажигались при трении практически об любую шершавую поверхность, иногда самовоспламенялись, были токсичными. В детстве тоже пытался косплеить ковбоев и зажигать спички о любую поверхность. Первые разочарования жизни.
Получалось зажигать от стекла, стены которая была выкрашенна в советскую краску. Не с первого раза, но получалось. А об подошву это да, никак не возможно.

The 1940 military uniform with the double Xs on the lapels is interesting. Hitler was a fan of Chaplin, and adopted his moustache. Was Chaplin in turn mocking Hitler and the Nazis in this 1940 film? Has a certain irony if so.
