J? V V V Eskarans are native to Eskara respectively. Among all races of Lanx they are best known for their conquership and strive for control. In modern age eskarans have established an industrial empire, arguably ruled by their royals. Some like to claim that their royals are mere puppets of the modern industry corporations behind them. Eskarans are historically best known to have slain their Gods, starting with the deceit of the mad Goddess. Eskarans believe in no Gods, only their success in regaining control of their own race. Their race is reserved and not particularly accepting of others due to their strong rejection towards beliefs. Eskarans still have wildren roaming their forests, who still believe in the old and the dead Gods, but they don’t interact with modern society. ❖ COATING Eskaran fur changes throughout the seasons. Their default coating colors are brown to grey, but minor mutations may occur, such as the occurrence of deep black and faded shades of purple. Those mutations occurred long ago due to breeding with other races, such as their cousins, martel, or even the more distant noverns. Eskarans are plentiful, so these mutations are pretty common among their society, but it never stopped the purest breeds to judge the less than pure. Eskarans of the higher north are commonly white throughout all seasons, or colored in dim shades of grey. They consider themselves above southerners. ❖ ❖❖ CLOTHING Modern eskaran fashion resembles 19th century fashion. Their people dress according to their social class and status. Jackets, vests, a fitting pair of pants and a tie is the wray to go. Their royals wear jian silks, dyed pelts and a light crown of antlers throughout public events to represent their ancient kings. The wear of low class eskarans is unimpressive, although strict for women. It’s considered inappropriate for women to wear pants. Wildren live isolated, but certainly don’t mind borrowing clothing from modern society and mixing it with their own rags. Lengths greatly vary, as well as the amount of furring. Their tails perk when alert or excited and drop when sick or scared. A few mutations have remarkably long, or remarkably short tails. Short or cut-off tails usually mark an outcast. Their hands and feet have leathery padding. The claws are part of their last digit. Their toes are short and even sized. They are closer to artiodactyla in appearance, but their “hooves" resemble strong claws instead. Their claws are their most dangerous weapon, as dealing kicks can be lethal to the opponent. Eskaran muzzles are long and tapered in shape. They may grow whiskers, but it’s only common for females to keep them. A straight nose ridge is considered pretty, but it may slope or even crook over age. Old eskarans males often appear “ratty” due to crooking of their noses. Eskarans hare an excellent sense of smell. Eskarans possess excellent hearing. Lowbreeds and workers shave them during the modem days to enhance their hearing and be more wary of their environments. Tufts at the tip of their ears are often present during the summer coat period. Their ears are really expressive and react along with their tails.
